Rick Baum’s practice focuses on the representation of individuals and businesses in contractual and insurance disputes. Rick litigates claims of breach of contract and insurance bad faith, as well as real property issues. He brings the knowledge and perspective of having defended insurance companies for over 20 years to assist policyholders in their disputes with insurers.  He has successfully tried to verdict bad faith cases arising from alleged mishandling or denial of insurance claims, including claims arising from wildfires.

Rick enjoys interacting with clients and delivering not only successful results but ensuring the clients’ objectives are accomplished and they are satisfied with the results.  Some of his cases involve sensitive issues, including the loss of a home and disputes with neighbors or business partners.  He recognizes that his undivided loyalty is to his clients.

Rick is married with two children.  He completed culinary school and loves cooking for family and friends.  He lives in Santa Rosa and enjoys hiking with his wife and their four-legged friend Ollie, a Shepherd/Rottweiler.
